Multiple Teams · NHS All State Pitcher Signs with LBW


Northview’s All State Pitcher Matthew Lowery 6’3-220 signed with LBW prior to the start of his Senior season as a Cougar.  Lowery has a 89 mph fastball and was one of the state’s top pitchers last baseball season.

Boys Varsity Swimming, Girls Varsity Swimming · Swimmer McKenzie Dalton Signs with Point University


Northview’s senior swimmer McKenzie Dalton signed her NLI with Point University on Feb 1st.  Dalton becomes the first NHS swimmer in school history to sign a swimming scholarship.  The Northview swim team had another outstanding year and went to the AHSAA State Swimming and Diving Championships for a third consecutive year.

Multiple Teams · 10 Cougars Ink Football Scholarships on NSD 16′


Ten Northview Cougar football players signed NLI’s on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd on the first day of National Signing Day.  23 of 26 Seniors have been offered scholarships and half of them are going to wait until after signing day to decide.  The 10 current Cougars that signed are:

Tyler Marshall- QB to UAB; Caleb Tillman- DT to Louisville; Coby Neenan- P/K to Tulane, Kedryan Wilson- WR to Grambling State University, Kolby Easley- WR to Coffeyville CC, Chris King- DT to Union College, Kameron Smith- DE to Union College, John Howard- DE to Point University, Caderrius Parker- DT to East LA CC and Chris Knight- DE to Bacone College.

Multiple Teams · 3 Star Kicker Coby Neenan Commits to Tulane


On January 10th First Team ASWA All-State P/K Coby Neenan committed to Tulane.  He was formally committed to Georgia Southern and with the departure of Coach Fritz to Tulane he later followed.  National Signing Day is not until February 3rd and after his official visit on January 15th Neenan is considered a “Solid Verbal” to Tulane.  Coby is a two year starter for the Cougars and lead the state in field goals made this past season.  His longest FG made was 51 yards.  Coby is currently ranked as one of the top kickers in the nation and has earned a 3 star ranking.

The Cougar Varsity basketball team is off to a hot 8-0 start under veteran coach Janasky Fleming.  During the first week of the ASWA 6A rankings the Northview Cougars start out at the 10th spot in 2015.

Coed Varsity Bowling · Boys and Girls Bowling Teams win Auburn Tournament


The Northview Boys and Girls Bowling Teams traveled to Auburn on Wednesday and won both Championships.  Other teams that were there were Benjamin Russell, Valley, Jeff Davis, Robert E. Lee, Beauregard, and Houston Academy.
